OSCR - RUGBY OFFENBACH
OSCR is a rugby club in Offenbach, Germany. Based on the field of Rosenhöhe it is one of the most well known rugby Clubs in the area with a long and rich history of players and accolades. After a very successful season, OSCR discovered that they had not seen any substantial growth in their community base and decided it was time to make a change.
A new logo, a new Claim
In order not to completely negate the inherited prestige that comes with the club thanks to its long history, I didn’t want to completely remove the old logo from the new one. That’s what made me propose this logo. The Leaf and mention of the Rosenhöhe field would ensure that we remain linked to the old Logo, whilst giving it a new lease of life and using the leaf to create a graphical link that connects each aspect of our communication channels.
Another, very important aspect to the logo, was that it had to be adaptable to Web, Social Media, Merchandise and Team Strips.
The Claim “United by Rugby” would also become a link of sortes that would become synonymous with the operations of the club.

Social Media - Game day Posts
In order to keep the community up to speed on the game results, I decided that a Lead-up post (Teaser) and then a game day Post would be a good idea.
Using a simple design, I can update the Post quickly on a game by game basic. The photo in this Post (see to the left) also integrated a photo of a player that can we switch out. This Means that every time somebody sees the game day post, they also subconsciously link a player to the club and the game, giving us more of a connected community and bringing the Individuals closer to the players. Plus, photos make everything better.
